About Ms. Parish
I am a native of Calhoun, GA, born and raised here. I attended Belwood Elementary from kindergarten-6th grade as a child. I have two amazing children of my own that are attending Belwood, as well. My hobbies include running, traveling, and photography. I'm also a die hard Georgia Bulldog fan! Go dawgs...hunker down! I have a great desire to teach and take my commitment to teaching seriously. I strive to create a cooperative classroom atmosphere where all students have the opportunity to reach their true potential. I am extremely enthusiastic about inquiring and learning myself and always try to encourage that characteristic in all my students that I teach.

I started my teaching career at STARS Pre-K in Bartow County, Georgia. Then, I taught in Atlanta as a second grade teacher for APS. Next, I taught for 4 years in Virginia Beach City Public Schools in Virginia as a 3rd grade teacher. Later, I worked as both a 1st and 4th grade teacher for the Department of Defense Schools in Sicily, Itay. Prior to coming to Belwood, my most recent teaching position was as a 5th grade teacher at the American International School Freetown in Sierra Leone, West Africa. Now, I'm back at Belwood where I attended elementary school!
